Dr. Olney is originally from Maryland but also spent time growing up in North Yorkshire, England. She was a member of the inaugural veterinary class at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Subsequently, she completed a rigorous Rotating Surgery and Medicine Internship at Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD, followed by an Internal Medicine Specialty Internship in Vienna, VA. She worked as a relief veterinarian in Maryland until establishing her professional homebase at HomeVets. Her professional interests include client education, nutrition, One Health, internal medicine, and radiology.
During veterinary school, Dr. Olney formed a Students for One Health club and participated in various biomedical and research programs during academic breaks. She received recognition as the recipient of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Award for Proficiency in Primary Care in her graduating class.
Dr. Olney and her husband reside in Columbia, Maryland with their cat, Remy. They share a love for the Chesapeake Bay and enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, hiking, eating good food, and drinking excellent coffee.
